The Rockeby Ball – A lovely event for the parents of Rockeby School to have a summer ball in Brentford

We were delighted that The Rockeby School decided to use The Garden Room at Syon Park as their chosen venue for their charity ball on May 20th 2016. The day started off perfectly, with the sun warming the air and brightening the sky as guests arrived at the stunning venue for the fundraiser.

The charitable event was solely based around the Harrisons Fund – a charity which specialises in helping children who have sadly been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy disease. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is the most common fatal genetic disorder to affect children around the world. With great events and fundraising, as part of the Concerto Group, we hope to help charities such as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy raise the money they need to help the research that the scientists have made with their giant strides with bringing Duchenne therapies to market.

The Rockeby School’s charity event saw a total of 335 guests, including parents of students attending the event – here the guests would be able to enjoy ‘Create’ and ‘Full Circle’s’ specialities – these are just two of Concerto Group’s brand companies. Full Circle, who is Concerto Groups Production Company, put on a fantastic show throughout the event which consisted of blue lighting displays across the venue, glistening spotlights and 12 newly installed chandeliers.

Guests were also provided with a glass of champagne along with these delicious canapés. After guests were asked to be seated, a popular Plum Tomato and Mozzarella Saladette was served up at the tables, with a Pain Fried Chicken Fillet – hats off to the Create chef!

Overall, the event was a complete success and it was great to see the parents of the Rockeby School with smiles on their faces after hearing that lots of money was raised throughout the duration of the evening, all of which will go towards The Harrisons Fund. We all wish The Harrisons Fund success with their goal to stopping Duchenne, or at least finding a way to slow it down significantly, before it has a chance to dim the twinkle in children’s eyes.
